An even older person here! 1966-1970 - Bobbie Brooks cardigan sweaters with matching A-line skirts and knee socks.....similar outfits by John Meyer...Ladybug blouses with round "Peter Pan" collars in cute prints, with matching skirts....boys wore blue jeans rolled up at the ankle, with buttoned shirts...T shirts were strictly underwear...black horn-rimmed glasses. The rich girls were beginning to get contacts.

And VERY few kids had a car. Only the rich ones, or the poor ones who could work on it themselves.

Wow, sounds like some fashion trends vary wildly from region to region, because I've never heard of some of the things y'all from 93-97 are talking about (Duck Heads?).

Popular at my high school '92-'96 (mostly the later years because I can't remember the early):

- North Face ski jackets and vests
- Patagonia fleece pullovers
- Anything from the Gap - v-neck sweaters, jeans, khakis, etc.
- Footwear: K-Swiss, Doc Martin, Tretorns, Teva
- Lacrosse wear - it was a popular sport at my school, and we all (boys and girls teams) had matching pullover jackets and pants. But any tshirt with "LAX" or whatnot was common.
- Letterman jackets
- Jean and khaki shorts
- Birkenstocks year-round - with socks in cold weather
- Flannel pajama bottoms - these weren't worn to school, but everyone had them. We DID have a dance with a sleepwear theme one year.
- Camo pants - most people didn't wear them, but I do remember several guys that had them.
- Backpacks: Eddie Bauer, North Face, Jansport or one of the multi-colored Italian bags some kids have (wish I could find a photo of one)

My high school was just as trend-conscious as the next, but I guess up here in the Northwest the popular "style" was (and still is sometimes) outdoorsy-preppy.
