I feel so bad for the chief of police or whatever his title is... he's getting so beat up in this press conference. Yeah, I think someone- police, university or both- dropped the ball, but I feel for this guy.

No word on KD's... our website doesn't have an update and I haven't heard from anyone on our listserve.

All Alpha Gamma Delta members are now accounted for. My thoughts and prayers are with the Virginia Tech community and all families impacted by this tragedy.

i heard about this earlier today... i'm still in a state of shock. i can't even begin to imagine what everyone must be going through over there.

i can't believe so many people were victimized by this person. i haven't heard anything more about who the gunman was or any motives. it's just so heartwrenching.

does anyone else had any updates on the status of our sisters there?

Nothing on your national website yet. I hope they're ok.

My friend called me when he first heard about it, about 12:30 "Did you hear about the shooting??" The way he said it I thought it was in RI at first.

I'm in total shock. I got off the phone with him and mentioned it (I was at work, no TV, no computer besides for the bosses) and my main boss looked it u\p right away.

Thoughts and prayers are with the victims, families of the victims, and those who still don't know if their family/friends/sisters & brothers, etc are safe.

Same thing with this incident. If everyone who had ever been dumped went on a killing spree, there'd be one every day.

If you've been dumped and can't handle it, talk to someone. Have yourself committed. Do something. But there is no excuse for murdering innocent people.

Nothing you said sounded harsh IMO. Your 100% right. I know people, including myself, who have been picked on their entire life...I don't see any of us going around shooting people. There is no excuse at all for this.

And personal responsibility takes a dive.
Not saying that it makes him any less responsible, but if someone already has a twisted mind, the video games don't help at all. Have you ever seen some of them like Counter Strike?

Believe me, I've played a lot of violent video games. I don't have the urge to go shoot anyone.

Clearly someone who does this has serious mental issues. But if video games are going to cause you to shoot someone, you've jumped off the sanity train long ago...

Goodness gracious.

I think each and everyone of us has anger about injustice. But most of us do not go around shooting random people who had absolutely nothing to do with the bad things that have happened to us.

Alpha Phi Omega brothers have been accounted for.

That's good. I was wondering if they had a chapter there.
