I am also a member of the DAR on my Mother's side. Her family (German) settled in upstate NY near Albany. However, I have not been active for quite sometime now.
Nor have I. My chapter is in PA, I'm living in IL now. Didn't really love the local chapter, so I keep my membership in PA.
