Question about A Recommendation

Hi everyone!
I had a quick question: One of my family members was a KKG but I guess she was in the chapter before it was nationally known as KKG. Would she be counted as a KKG when she helps me with a recommendation or does it not count since her sorority wasn't called KKG until later?
