Unhappy New Member/Colony Lavalier Question

Hey Everyone,

I'm a founding father of a recolonization. I have been dating my girlfriend for over two years, and this is the summer that I am going to pop the question. We are in an excellent relationship, she graduated last year and stayed local to wait for me.

She is also an alum of a sorority on my campus.

I am an Associate Member (who is soon to initiate).

I wanted to ask here for guidance and some advice.

I want to Lavalier my girlfriend for Christmas. I understand that I am a new member. I do NOT want to look like some A-hole who is rushing into this. This is NOT some "I've been dating her for 3 months" deal and I "think" I'm head over heels and we will probably break up in another month or two. This was an already established and serious relationship before I joined.

I wanted to know if this would be in poor taste as it is so soon. I understand from some other posts that the "Lavalier" is not a recognized symbol, but the Friendship Pin is.

I did not want to talk to our Consultant because I felt that he might view me as a D-bag for doing this so soon after recolonization.

What say you, my elder brothers of LCA?
