I've already read the lavaliering message board but couldn't find my answer, so I figured I'd post here. I'm in a long-term relationship with a Phi Delta Theta brother at a school with a minimal Greek presence. My boyfriend has said repeatedly that he wants everyone to know that I'm his--possibly permenantly, and has already let me wear his fraternity gear--tshirts, sweatshirts, etc. I've been considered a sweetheart at the fraternity since long before we were dating. Almost everything he's said has pointed to the fact that he wants to lavalier me, but the problem is, he doesn't know what lavaliering is! I only know what it is because my roommate is in a sorority, and also transferred from a school with a much larger Greek population. As far as I know, no girl has ever been lavaliered from a brother in this Phi Delt chapter, but that is only precedent, not rule. If I know my boyfriend would lavalier me if he knew about it, how could I possibly suggest it without pressuring him?
And I don't know if this helps at all, but I'm a pledge in Alpha Phi Omega--becoming a brother in two weeks.
Thanks everyone!
