I had a FABULOUS time at training. I met a ton of people - saw my old ELC who colonized us....she was thrilled to see me there. I met people I was finally able to put a face with a name, and I learned a whole lot. The chapter advisor session was a day shorter than everyone else, and we felt rushed at the end. So maybe next time they'll schedule more time for us.
I would have also liked to have seen a breakout between the different kinds of chapter advisors - financial, programs, pr, etc. There were alot of financial advisors there, and some who expressed that they needed help. I'm planning on emailing some of them today with some resources I have that may help them out. It would have been nice to have a F.A. breakout session though.
We broke into discussion groups to talk about how our chapters had handled sticky situations before, and it was a real eye opening experience. Those of you who werent able to go, who wanted to - start planning for next time. You wont regret it. And Ginny Carrol's 2 presentations were ama-xi-ng. She talked about the generation gap and communication within the generations, and the Gift of Sorority...and creeping meatballs. Ask your MVPs who went to the Workout what a creeping meatball is
The only disappointment was that I didnt have time to go see the Arch
