I'd like to, but can't. Airfare and hotel are a little too pricey for me. Have fun!

Sigh...no room in my budget for airfare!!

Have fun Amanda!!

Chapter advisor training starts at 2pm on Saturday the 26, and is over by 2pm on Sunday the 27th. I'm flying in early Saturday and getting home Sunday evening, so I didnt have to ask time off from work (which was AWESOME!) Do you work weekends?

Anybody up to trying to get together at volunteer training?? maybe breakfast on
Sunday?

I had a FABULOUS time at training. I met a ton of people - saw my old ELC who colonized us....she was thrilled to see me there. I met people I was finally able to put a face with a name, and I learned a whole lot. The chapter advisor session was a day shorter than everyone else, and we felt rushed at the end. So maybe next time they'll schedule more time for us.

I would have also liked to have seen a breakout between the different kinds of chapter advisors - financial, programs, pr, etc. There were alot of financial advisors there, and some who expressed that they needed help. I'm planning on emailing some of them today with some resources I have that may help them out. It would have been nice to have a F.A. breakout session though.

We broke into discussion groups to talk about how our chapters had handled sticky situations before, and it was a real eye opening experience. Those of you who werent able to go, who wanted to - start planning for next time. You wont regret it. And Ginny Carrol's 2 presentations were ama-xi-ng. She talked about the generation gap and communication within the generations, and the Gift of Sorority...and creeping meatballs. Ask your MVPs who went to the Workout what a creeping meatball is ;)

The only disappointment was that I didnt have time to go see the Arch :(

I was there from Friday night on and had a great time, too. I was also definitely a "raving fan" (lol) of Ginny's fabulous speeches (especially the Gift of Sisterhood). I think it went really well!
