Smile Murder in Small Town X

Hey gang, I just watched the newest Reality TV show and I was wondering what you guys thought of it (if you watched it, of course).

A lot of people have been saying that Reality TV has gone too far. To be honest, I'd rather watch people try and solve a crime (and possibly get killed off) instead of seeing a bunch of horny 20 somethings try and get their grooves on (even though I still think Kaya's a total hottie).

I was literally at the edge of my seat during the episode...and some of the investigators have been pissing me off already! It's really difficult, though, to try and absorb all of the information--the investigators, the suspects, and the evidence--in just one hour.

I can't wait for next week's episode!

I really enjoyed the show last night too, however I only caught the from 9:15 to 10 so I missed all the rules, could someone please debrief me.
Also I had a question, When the black woman (forgive me I don't remember her name) was walking to her destination she said something to the effect of 'Summer , Mama loves you', or something like that. But she didn't really die, right?
Does anyone know what that was about?

It feels to me we're watching more "Murder She Wrote" and less "Survivor".

1. 10 ordinary people are given authority to investigate suspects, inspect crime scenes, gather evidence and review it on their ultra hi tech crime board.

2. The killer has very conviently given a list of suspects, who all happen to be at every major altercation, just "hanging around".

3. We had our attention called to the clocks in the house, but the investigators themselves noticed the guys in tuxes sweeping the docks, which was prompty blown off by our senior tough guy investigator.

We also didnt bother to investigate the REALLY CREEPY guy that hung out with the fisheman. But he's not on the list, so I guess he's ok....

But despite all these constructed things, why are our heroes scared? Didnt they sign up for a reality TV show? I mean, its true tat the atmosphere can make it scarier than it is--but these people were talking like they actually WERE going to be killed!

That said, I watched the show, and I'll probly tune in the next night its on. We'll see if it gets better. Though that deli guy from tennesee needs to go!

Jeez if these ppl were actually killed this game would be closer to The Running Man than a reality show.
I thought it was pretty good, it's like one of those murder mystery dinners. The actors are very good on this show, they give it the mystique.

Anybody else notice that the contestants didn't give a $hit when shirley didn't come back? They were all celebrating when the blond came back, but while waiting for the other one, they're like, who cares?

I really liked it, but was surprised at how seriously some of the contestants were taking it. I mean, Shirley was like, "If mommy doesn't come home, remember she loves you." to her sons. It wa slike she actually thought she might never see her sons again.

Did anyone else notice this? I guess it made it seem really realistic, but...

I guess it makes it more realistic, but with sooo many "vote them off" plans already in the works,it just struck me as a new form of tribal council, only with maximum potentials for bitterness; as A: the group picks one AND the lifeguard picks one on their own and B: the person you wanted to kill off may come back to bite you later in on the game.

Although...if they are REALLY killing people off, this does make for a very short "reunion episode". I hate those!

*bump*

Comments after the second show:
1) Kristen's a real bitch, however she is one hot momma.
2) Why is that the chicks are just going after the guys. I hope some of those chicks get the boot, some are really boring.
3) Overall so far the show is very well done.

Angel was a FireFighter from the Bronx, who was the winner of "Murder in Small Town X". I was surfing around to see if there would be a MiSTX 2, and I was shocked and upset to discover this news. I feel so sad.

Arrow There will be a MiSTX II this summer....

http://www.survivorfire.com/nuke/article.php?sid=481
The Mole 2 will be joined by Big Brother 3 and Murder In Small Town X 2 this summer. If you recall, Murder In Small Town X, on FOX, was shown last summer. The ratings were bad, leading to speculation that FOX won't continue with it. But then the winner of the show, Angel Juarbe, was one of the New York City firemen who was killed on September 11. He has emerged as a symbol of the firemen who died that day. There is even a famous photo of Jim Carrey holding up his picture. The publicity surrounding his death seems to be the main reason why FOX will continue with the show after all.

Also, on a sadder note, the body of Angel Juarbe, the winner of MiSTX 1 has now been
