Letters on Nickelodeon Show

So I was watching an old re-run of My Brother & Me (I LOVED THAT SHOW WHEN I WAS LITTLE! ) and I saw some paddles hanging up on the wall in one of the scenes. I thought my eyes were decieving me, but there they were: A few paddles with Delta Sigma Theta letters on them, and one or two with Omega Psi Phi letters.

(around 5:05)

They go by kind of quickly. I'm guessing the producers or someone else along those lines must have been Greek.

I watched this show in college when I was still an interest and after so I remember that the parents had the paddles. It was really cool to see.

FYI, the actor who played DeeDee is now an Alpha at Morehouse College.

It's really neat to see connections with Greek culture represented in positive shows such as this. I wonder what "Dee Dee" looks like now

The mom looks like the mom in the book "My mommy is a Delta".

I always liked seeing shows and some D9 stuff would pop up. Like Steve Harvey Show.

NappyBison, I was just coming back to post the article and the photo. He did grow up to be a cutie.

DeeDee article

Sadly, the mother on the show passed away October 2007 from breast cancer.

Steve Harvey had the Omega crest hanging by the door from either the 2nd or 3rd season until the show went off the air. I bet Ced wasn't too pleased about that. But maybe there was a Kappa cane in his bedroom.

I think you're right (about the Central para, not about your memory), because I remember making gagging sounds when I was watching this (I'm an Aggie born, Aggie bred)!

I loved that show when I was younger, me and my brother would run around singing "GOOOOO PUNCH!!!" all day.
There was a boy at my school who looked like Goo. I chased him around singing that all through 6th grade. (I wonder why he wouldn't be my boyfriend...)

I doubt it. She wasn't a Delta at the time.
