Cool You know you're a Delta Gamma when....

Ok, so I thought that this would be kind of fun!

You know you're a Delta Gamma when...

- you get bored in class and scribble anchors or things like "I <3
ΔΓ" on your paper
- you decided that you want cream roses at your wedding (I know I do!!!!)
- you look for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that is anchor-themed.
- you get super excited when you see a car drive by with some sort of DG insignia on it
- you randomly start singing or humming DG songs while doing everyday activities...

feel free to add to the list!!!

You excitedly point out celebrity DGs, even after your spouse and kids look at you funny!

hehe...I do this all the time.

You notice 'DG' on people's license plates...when it's not there on purpose:

-You want to get a Raggedy Anne doll for your niece and name the doll "Hannah".
-You want to get your niece a "sailor cap" too!

haha these are all so true for me!!

-any chance fraternities/sororities are mentioned in conversation/seen in a movie/randomly being seen you start and epic talk about Delta Gamma (though this could apply to any member of a glo!)
-anytime you see someone with anchor paraphanelia you immediately think of delta gamma and consider asking the person if they are a member
-when travelling you look around for girls wearing letters, specifically DG letters
-you can think of a way to incorporate dg into any conversation
-you buy things just because a of a "nautical" theme...doesn't even have to have an anchor on it
-you've dressed up as a sailor for halloween

Random story- In Canada we support the CNIB- canadian national institute for the blind, and this year during big day a truck that said "CNIB" across it passed down our road while everyone was outside taking photos and celebrating, a couple of our members saw this and started cheering and screaming....then promptly grabbed their cameras and ran down the street to stop the truck to get a picture beside it, it was too funny!

This will sound stupid, but I won't wear certain color combinations...just because they were our 'rival' sorority's colors... and I graduated awhile back!

When I watch the Legally Blonde movie, I try to remember that even though Elle Woods was a "Delta Nu" in the Legally Blonde movie, she was a "Delta Gamma" in the Legally Blonde book, and that's what REALLY counts, right!

When you've already decided that you are having a legacy and an anchorman and their rooms will be pink and blue respectively....well...with some bronze thrown in there too!

My 10 year old niece likes the Cheetah Girls, and I have told her about DG (and she knows that Sabrina is one). Anyhow, when she sees Sabrina on TV or in magazines, she points out excitedly, "She's a Delta Gamma!". It makes her Auntie so proud!

1. Your 10 year old daughter knows several DG "cheers" and part of the "Romper Song"
...And when I have a daughter, I'll dress her like a dream
I'll send her off to college to be a DG queen
She'll never be a Chi-O or wear a Kappa Key
She'll never be a Zeta, for she'll be a Delta G!

(And my daughters are double Kappa legacies (my mom and grandma, and every woman on my husbands side of the family are precious Zetas! )

2. I had cream colored roses woven into my bridal bouquet.

You name your first child a "D" name and the next a "G" name. (or you have a list of names starting with D and G for when the joyous time arrives)
