Oregon Violent Act

Let us hope our Brother in Oregon is okay -- and that the
chapter can come together and overcome any adversity that
is going to stem from this.

I'm sure they are going to re-evaluate security at the house...

This is so sad to hear about and thank you for posting it!

The old days of being open and friendly seem to be gone.

Zeta-Omicron in Eugene. I believe they just got a new house as well, being that the last one was condemned. Wish our young brother a quick recovery.

Besides the horrific nature of the crime, the thing that really strikes me about this story is the restraint shown by the newspaper in respecting the wishes and privacy of the people involved. It's probably the most responsible, ethical piece of journalism I've seen in many years.

Exactly. Otherwise, it might have said, "Police would not confirm if it was part of a fraternity hazing ritual or if alcohol was involved."
