Question Help...how to get rid of a bad illness???

I'm feeling absolutely miserable. I had a cold for 2 weeks, and then a few days ago I got a 100 degree fever. I have rested for quite some time in the past 2 days, but I'm feeling worse, if that's actually possible!

I'm feeling very fatigued with a lack of energy, headache-y, and nauseated. I don't understand what's happening! I drink tons of water, have been getting lotsa sleep, and relaxing a bit more. But it's not helping!

HELP!! What are your tips to get rid of an illness? I'm getting VERY behind in schoolwork, and I left school today at 10:30 b/c I felt like I was gonna puke! I haven't been going to school for the past 3 days!

Not to sound too obvious...but have you gone to the doctor? Your symptoms sound suspiciously like mono.

Get thee to a physician! If it is a virus, there's nothing you can do but ride it out, but if it's bacterial in nature, a good strong antibiotic will help.

Cool

Hey Barbara! I don't know if it's mono--I hope not! My friends have had mono in the past--and their symptoms lasted more than a month!

Yes, I really ought to go to a doctor, huh? I guess I've been trying to convince myself that I don't need to--but I guess I should! Don't worry--I'm going to call for an appt. after this post . Thanks for your advice!!

Lots of Vitamin C and a product with Echinacea and goldenseal combined . . . eases flu/cold like symtoms and speeds recovery. It REALLY work and is cheap. just take 2-3 capsules every 3 hours.

Newbie,
Darlin! I hope you made that appt. with your doctor!!!!!! I know how crappy it feels to be sick...I'm pretty bad here myself! I think I'm going in with my mom to the doc's office tomorrow (she has an appt...I'm gonna tag along! )

I wanna feel better...I have to work tomorrow night and I need the money (but I don't wanna go if I'm all coughing and stuff...how gross would that be?!) I'm a banquet waitress and I personally would be grossed out if my waitress was coughing all night while serving me my food and drinks!!!! EEEEEWWWWW!

You might want to try Zinc. Zinc will help with some cold symptoms. You can find Zinc in the brand Cold-Ez throat drops. It doesn't taste the best, but it should nurse a cold well.
