Mother's Pin
So the general thread in the Greek Life forum got me thinking... Do we have an official Mother's pin for Theta? If not, does anyone know why not?

I've never seen one. I'm not sure why, but personally-I love my mom, but she's not wearing my letters like some of the other groups' moms can. But I did like the (KD?) mother's pin that actually said mom on it.

I'm fairly sure that we do not have one atleast not specifically for this purpose and I agree with blackngoldengrl on this.
Soem mothers however that have daughters initiate Theta will pass down their own pins thus making the pin more special. A girl in my chapter who was two pledge classes ahead of me got her Grandmother's jeweled pin given to her at initiation which made it more special for her becoming a Theta and for the grandmother as well.

This actually happened to one of my pledge sisters, though not a direct legacy, her aunt was a Theta and passed down her badge. Another pledge sister had a dear family friend who passed down her badge to her. I plan on passing my badge on to my sister if she ever joins Theta, or my future daughters some day!

I received my sister's badge when I was initiated. I used it until I became Ritualist for our chapter. Then I wore the very old & passed down Ritualist badge with officer dangle attached. Before leaving the house for student teaching & graduation, I ordered my own badge so my sister could have hers back. I plan to pass mine down to my own daughter someday (assuming I ever marry & have a daughter!)

My mom gave me her badge. She actually came to initiation (I go to school in Pittsburgh but am from Chicago) and put her badge on me. It was really really cool and exciting. It has her initials and chapter engraved on the back and I want to have mine engraved on the back too.

My grandmother gave me her pin from 1952 when I was initiated last November! It has her name and the date of her initiation on the back also. I don't know yet whether I want to get my own now or wait until I have someone to pass it on to.
