Gamma Phi Beta Sorority to Colonize at the University of Texas at San Antonio
(Centennial, CO –April 26, 2007) Gamma Phi Beta Sorority is both pleased and honored to
announce that the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Panhellenic Association has
invited the Sorority to colonize a chapter on its campus.
Gamma Phi Beta has enthusiastically accepted UTSA’s invitation to become the fifth National
Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sorority on campus, citing as primary considerations in the
decision the University’s recent growth and its support for fraternities and sororities, as well as
the interest of San Antonio area Gamma Phi Beta alumnae in supporting a collegiate chapter.
“I was pleased to be able to participate in our campus visit and presentation in March and was so
impressed with the enthusiastic welcome we received,” said Linda Johnson, Gamma Phi Beta
International President. “The University of Texas at San Antonio has been one of Texas’ fastest
growing public universities over much of the last decade, and both Gamma Phi Beta and our San
Antonio alumnae are excited to begin a new chapter within this dynamic university community.”
Gamma Phi Beta’s international volunteers, International Headquarters staff and more than 300
San Antonio alumnae look forward to a promising partnership between the Sorority, the
University and the UTSA Panhellenic Association.
