UT-San Antonio Sorority Expansion
So, the unofficial word is Gamma Phi this fall, Zeta later - anyone have official word? It's one week to my sorority reunion in San Antonio, and I'd sure love to have good news to share - but don't feel comfortable doing so until it's official.

Yeah. All those girls also look REALLY young. Like... high school aged.

From our website (press release)
Gamma Phi Beta Sorority to Colonize at the University of Texas at San Antonio (Centennial, CO –April 26, 2007) Gamma Phi Beta Sorority is both pleased and honored to announce that the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Panhellenic Association has invited the Sorority to colonize a chapter on its campus. Gamma Phi Beta has enthusiastically accepted UTSA’s invitation to become the fifth National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sorority on campus, citing as primary considerations in the decision the University’s recent growth and its support for fraternities and sororities, as well as the interest of San Antonio area Gamma Phi Beta alumnae in supporting a collegiate chapter. “I was pleased to be able to participate in our campus visit and presentation in March and was so impressed with the enthusiastic welcome we received,” said Linda Johnson, Gamma Phi Beta International President. “The University of Texas at San Antonio has been one of Texas’ fastest growing public universities over much of the last decade, and both Gamma Phi Beta and our San Antonio alumnae are excited to begin a new chapter within this dynamic university community.” Gamma Phi Beta’s international volunteers, International Headquarters staff and more than 300 San Antonio alumnae look forward to a promising partnership between the Sorority, the University and the UTSA Panhellenic Association. ### YEAH to us....:D |

YEA for us!! Are we on a roll or what!:)

I'm so excited this is finally out! Zeta was the other chapter selected and last I heard, the second sorority would colonize in fall 2009 to allow the first some time to get to total and get a little settled.
Congrats to us and ZETA! |

Stitching "Big Sis/Bro" and "Lil Sis/Bro" on shirts/totebags seems to be pretty common at my current school. Never saw it done at my undergrad school at all, so I guess it's a campus by campus culture thing. |
Great for Both!!!!!:D
