Announcement from the GC Historian

I am most likely not going to be photographing any neophyte shows this spring (2007).

1) My health has been really bad and I don't think standing out in the weather at all hours of day and night in the pollen and the cold air is beneficial.

2) Several orgs have tightened up their restrictions on neo shows and debuts, making it really hard to know when they are coming out. And if they do, I obviously don't want to be the one to publish the pictures and get them in trouble, lol.

However, I will indeed be going to the annual step show at Georgetown this Saturday night in which APO, Alpha Nu Omega, the Alphas, Sigmas, and the GU Step Team will be performing. Plenty of pictures will be taken and eventually posted.

Sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to probate pictures this year.... but my lungs aren't worth it, lol.

ETA: I forgot to say that earlier this Spring, I was humbled by the opportunity to attend an MIP luncheon of a friend who was a Spring 2007 initiate of AKA. I honestly didn't know they could be public events so i was TRULY honored. The guest speaker was one of the charter members of Lambda Zeta Chapter (American University) and she was great. She really broke down a lot of AKA-specific terms for the non-Greeks and non-AKAs in the room (Boule, Basileus, etc.) I had a great time.

Awww mannnn.... I do look forward to the pics. Your health is more important though, I think, well you know, if you wear a mask and bundle up, you SHOULD be ok as long as it's not snowing or raining but then again... if it's hot and humid, I guess the pollen might kick in and you might puff up like a balloon and we dont want that....

Well..... I clearly spoke too soon.

Long story short, barring any calamity, the GC Historian has been recruited to cover some new member presentations and plot shows.

1. ALWAYS take care of SELF.
2. Yes, it is/was at the discretion of the chapters. The luncheon after we crossed was closed (members of AKA only).
3. ETA: If you get sick, it's because it was YOUR decision to go out there. If you are recruited, you can ALWAYS decline.
