I hate to say this, but...

AOIIAlum, you know that I love you, but darling, did I mention that Vandy beat UK last night for the first time ever in Rupp? And that it had been years (31 or 28?) since they beat UK at home?

First, Vandy beat UTK in football at UTK; then, Vandy beat UK at Rupp....It makes one wonder if someone succeeded in crossing pigs and chickens in a genetics lab.

Silver

(Sorry...just couldn't resist...Mr. Silver and I have taken a verbal lashing for years, decades..really..from the UK fans in our lives...)

Edited to change years...

Why, I do believe that I hear the musical notes of "Duelling Banjos" in the air....

Ouch, Silver, to kick a girl when she's down

We're knee-deep into what could quite possibly be the most painful basketball season since the years of The Unforgettables at UK. Something is wrong, W-R-O-N-G at Kentucky, and they darned well better get it fixed now. I've had quite enough of this silliness, although, to be fair, I think it's going to hurt a lot more before it's all over this year.

Oh, and it was 31 years between wins for y'all

Sorry, just couldn't resist. You know that I love and appreciate you!
Thanks, I thought is was 31 years. One of the newscasters said 28, so I thought that I might have missed it....
The commentator said that it has been 83 years since Vandy beat both UTK and UK at home in their respective sports. Wow.

Please pardon the crash.

To AOIIsilver - Congratulations to Vandy on their first win at Rupp Arena. Now please do not let it happen again.

To AOIIalum - I want you to know that I've got your back. If it gets heated here, let me know and I'll see if I can whip out some UK versus VU basketball game statistics for your use.

Waiting for redemption come February 11th at Memorial Gym

GO CATS!

I hope you are right regarding UK. However, as AOIIalum pointed out, this is turning out to be a not-so-good season. Who knows, perhaps this will be the start of one of those amazing turnarounds for the Cats.

TS, you know you can crash here any time.

OMG, don't hold your breath. At this point, we need another Mardi Gras miracle, only we don't have time to wait that long! Maybe this Saturday in Tuscaloosa?

Silver, I know because I adore you too! I really can't even blame you for it, either. Just wait though, the skies will re-align and we will go back to our regularly scheduled Vandy beating ways soon

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath. However, I would if it meant a win. And who knows, I might turn a nice shade of UK Blue!

By the way, the Bama game is at Rupp this Saturday. But given our last couple of home games, I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not.

Lucky us, we get the Villanova at Texas broadcast out here on the west coast.

However, the sports bar we (UK Alumni and Wildcat Fans) go to for our game watches will pick up the CBS East feed for us. By the way, we usually have at least around 20 to 30 Kentucky Wildcat fans there - even for this 10 a.m. (Pacific) tip-off. Sometimes as many as 50!

And best of luck to Vandy and Ole Miss this weekend as well.

Thanks!

Quick question:
Why use, "Go Cats," instead of, "Go Kats"?

Well, instead of pulling a victory from the jaws of defeat, today we managed to pull a defeat from the jaws of victory. Sheesh.
