The fire was reported just past midnight at 1005 28th St., according to Los Angeles Fire Capt. James Littlefield.
About 125 firefighters had the blaze extinguished about two hours later, Littlefield said.
The fraternity house was abandoned a couple years ago, when the residing Phi Delta Theta fraternity chapter was kicked off the USC campus. Fraternity members told NBC4 the house has been empty since 2003.

I'm just glad that no one was living there, so hopefully no one was hurt... and I'm wondering just how it got started.
