Images: Abandoned Frat House Fire The fire was reported just past midnight at 1005 28th St., according to Los Angeles Fire Capt. James Littlefield. About 125 firefighters had the blaze extinguished about two hours later, Littlefield said. The fraternity house was abandoned a couple years ago, when the residing Phi Delta Theta fraternity chapter was kicked off the USC campus. Fraternity members told NBC4 the house has been empty since 2003. (Video provided by On Scene Video Productions. For more information, write On Scene Video.) Copyright 2005 by NBC4.tv. WOW. I was just down there last Friday and passed the house and had FOND memories of one of my first fraternity parties ever there. It was a beautiful house--tho in need of work.
Phi Delt was next door to--but across a street next door-- the Kappa Kappa Gamma house. Here's the link to the story in the Daily Trojan: http://www.dailytrojan.com/news/933440.html (edited for spelling error) |
