Question Question For Those Opposed to Capital Punishment Concerning Saddam Hussein

What are your thoughts?

I'm opposed to capital punishment because the American judicial systems (and probably all others) are flawed, and do convict innocent people.

Even though what happens to Saddam Hussein is really up to the Iraqi people, I'm thinking that he should be executed (only by the decision of the Iraqi judicial system) even if Iraq decides to prohibit capital punishment. The reason is that his living will probably cause more deaths. There are enough followers who may have visions of a Napoleanic return to power. I believe that this will cause continued suffering that could manifest itself in a protracted civil war.
