What's your method of hair removal & why?
Hello ladies (yes this thread is for the ladies)
What is your hair removal method of choice? Why? I am talking about hair anywhere on your body that you remove.
If you opt not to remove your hair what's your reason?
For me I can't seem to stick to just one method. On my legs I use nair sometimes- but when I get bumps I let it grow out first and the next time I'll shave. In the winter I leave my legs alone 'cause it's too cold where I live. I wax my upper lip sometimes but sometimesI get little bumps that make me look like I have herpes and I'm afraid to try anything else.
So let me know what you think ladies. ~nachural

I am lucky because I don’t have hair on my legs. Well, I do but it is blond, super fine, and extremely sparse. They are like a child’s legs. I tried shaving my legs in the 8th grade because all my friends were. I cut myself and never did it again. I do shave my underarms and I use a Bikini touch shaver.

I shave my legs and underarms and the few facial hairs I get under the chin, I either tweeze or wax

I use Nair. Easiest and most painless method I know. And the cheapest

Hair Removal
Because I am fairly light in complexion, I have opted to use laser hair-removal methods. I go about once every 2 months. It is relatively painless and the hair grows back finer and finer every time. I highly recommend it for black folks.

wax.........
the only way to go. Legs and underarms. Once every two months is all I need. Comes back finer and finer now...eventually I won't have to at all.

Well, just to tidy up, I usually gran a handfull and just yank. I figure waxing can't hurt more than that.

hairy situation
I shave my legs & use Veet for anything else. It's my favorite and it doesn't give me as many red bumps.

My roomie shaves her upper lip and doesn't get any red bumps. So, you might want to try that.

Depending on the amount of hair you have on your upper lip, I wouldn't reccommend shaving because the hair does grow back coarser. You'd be better off just grabbing a pair of cuticle scissors and cutting them. I used electrolysis for my upper lip problem and it worked for me. When I'd get bumps, I think she said to put a warm compress. It's been awhile. This was before lazer hair removal.
My sis-in-law swears by lazer hair removal. When Nads came out , I tried it and ended up getting a rash. I wax my legs, eyebrows when I want the arch and remember to tweeze to upkeep. The only place I shave are my underarms.
I thought this article was interesting.

How much does this cost and how does this work exactly??
When ever I wax my legs they never feel really smooth like when i shave or nair. It feels like a little stuble is there but it grows back a lot slower. I dont know if that happens to anyone else. Plus when ever I wax my bikini area I bleed....every single time

I get my eyebrows threaded once or twice a month. Everything else is shaved periodically as I dont have much body hair.

It's a technique practiced by Indian women. It involves using thread to pull out the hair- the precision of tweezing, but the speed of waxing. Hurts like a biatch though.
