Actually, at Don Scott Field, the Ohio State University Airport, many years ago a TWA Boeing 707 landed there instead of Port Columbus Airport. Allegedly, the first thing the pilot said was, "How long is that runway?"
Also, a few years ago, a Continental Airlines pilot landed his DC-9 on a parallel taxiway at Stapleton, the old Denver airport. Unfortunately for him, the president of the airline was onboard at the time.
