Unhappy Keep him in your thoughts

The guy who I am dating (who happens to be one of my sorority sister's cousin's) just called me. His really close friend Joe just got into a motorcycle accident. I don't know any details beyond that as he is racing to the hospital right now. Please keep Joe, his family and friends in your thoughts.

Just an update: Joe is going to be okay. He is really messed up, some broken ribs, a punctured lung and his arms and legs are totally cut up but he is going to be okay. Mike told me that the helmet was pretty messed up but it was a good thing he was wearing it. Thanks for everyone's positive thoughts.

I've been considering getting some 2-wheeled transportation for around downtown. I'm always hearing of accidents like this. I may have to reconsider.

I hear ya. From what I understand this accident had to do with a "malfunction" in the bike and not any type of foolish riding like I often see here in NYC. Very annoying~~people weiving in and out of traffic like 80 miles per hour. It doesn't surprise me when they crash.
