legacy ??

Hi,

It's been a few years and my memory isn't what it should be (sad at 25- I know!)....but, could someone give me a few specifics on legacies??

Specifically, could it be a step-sister?? half-sister??
Are there any other female blood relatives that could be conisdered legacies??

Thanks ladies...
L&L

A legacy is the legal sister, daughter or granddaughter of an ADPi who is in good standing with the sorority. So if she is adopted or blood related and your sister, daughter or granddaughter, and you are in good standing with ADPi, yes, she is a legacy.

Aunts, nieces, cousins, etc., are not considered legacies, but it is appreciated when their ADPi relatives write them recommendations.

A recommendation or a legacy introduction is not a guarantee of a bid. Rather, it assures the recommender that the women they have introduced will be extended a bit of extra courtesy out of respect to the ADPi who recommended them.
