Vacation locations
My husband is going on a baseball trip with his friends the third weekend in June so I'm trying to get a few of my friends together to go on a little trip. I'm thinking that I want to go to Key West again... Can anyone think of any places to go? We're not interested in sight seeing, we just want to hit the beach and have many drinks.

Places to go or places to go in Key West? If you go to K.W. you HAVE to go to Sloppy Joe's and Hog's Breath!

I've already been to Key West twice and that's why I want to go back. I'm looking for suggestions for new places to go.

What about Mexico.........
I find Cozumel to be wonderful but I'm told Cancun is just as nice and would be perfect for laying on the beach and drinking. I'm not sure of the cost from where you are..........
But, New Orleans was great when I went in May 2001. Weather wasn't the greatest though (it POURED the last day) rain like I had never seen, which is saying something considering where I live.

All of us have already been to Cancun so we are just looking for something cheap...probably just a trip to Florida or something on the east coast that is driving distance.

I love Hilton Head, South Carolina! If you've never been there - I highly suggest it!

I personally love getting a condo in Perdido Key, Florida. Beautiful beach, very relaxing.

This is just a quick run down to the coast Easter weekend without spending $$$$.
Holiday Inn on Navare Beach.
Although Holiday Inn doesn't sound extra exciting...it's on an ISLAND!
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...submit=Get+Map
It is 17 mile south of I-10 and 19 miles east of Pensacola.
ETA: It's a penisula, not a island, lol.

In Florida, what about St. Augustine or Amelia Island? Or Savannah, GA? Those would all be nice places. Amelia Island not so much for the partying but there are places where you could have drinks with the girls....Savannah and St. Augy definitely have more as far as entertainment goes. Hilton Head is nice and a good suggestion if you've never been there...but you have to KNOW what to do there or else it's kinda' hard to find things to do. Does that make sense?
In SC there's also Charleston, which would be nice in June. You could stay in Mt. Pleasant or Folley Beach and stay right on the beach, but still be close enough to Charleston to go downtown.

WOO HOO someone else knows where this is!!
I have been to myrtle beach too. I didn't like it because everything was so commercialized where i was. But hilton head is small, quiet with just the right amount of activity. I went biking on the beach and parasailing there. Awesome times.
If you dig the humidity, go for it.
