Frustrated and Ready to Scream!

I recently came home from Florida and my mom asked me to run a virus scan on our computer. We found three viruses on the system. Two of them were easily deleted, but the third one couldn't. I ran the scan at least two more times to see if it would finally be deleted. No luck! I tried to contact our antivirus provider, but they charge for advice. I tried to get help from their website, but I didn't get the answers I wanted. I am getting frustrated and I on the verge of screaming. Does any have any advise on getting rid of this cyber pest? Advice is appreciated!

If you aren't using Norton Anti-Virus, I highly recommend it. It just removed three virus/trojan horses from my comp. Something else I found out about while working for Dell is a FREE program called SPYBOT. Accept no imitations, though. Only download from: DOWNLOAD.COM!!!!!

Spybot rids your comp. of trojans, spyware, etc! It makes all of the difference in my comp. I can tell if I haven't ran the program b/c my pc runs slower and does "odd" things.

It's worth the time to invest in Norton and the FREE download of SPYBOT.

Try www.getvirushelp.com. It's free, and fairly comprehensive.

Good luck!

What is the name of the virus? You can find manual methods of deletion of most viruses on http://www.trendmicro.com

Look in the virus encyclopedia.

An update!

Thank you all for the advice! I have some good news to report. The virus somewhat disappeared from the system. I don't know if I did something or is vanished on its on. I ran a virus scan and it reported no viruses, but I ran it again since I couldn't believe the previous report. I feel like celebrating!
