Angry Spirit Activities

Everyone knows how crazy formal recruitment can be. I have to come up with some activities that my sorority can do in an hour, and have fun. I want something sort of relaxing. I've already planned a time for decorating cars, and for a beauty day (hour!), but I need a couple of more ideas. I am leaning more towards a craft, but it needs to be a quick one, and not too difficult. I am trying to stay away form the Modge Podge and picture frames. I want something unique, but my brain has turned to MUSH!
:-) If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it!!

I would try some plain old finger painting! Good way to relieve stress.

Another good one is clay or play-doh or something. Or you can get fimo and make little jewelry beads.

Beth,
What about door hangers? You know, the kind that hang on the doorknob and (usually) say do not disturb or something?

I think you can get these as blanks at many craft stores. You can pre-paint them with green or white paint and have paint pens, decals, etc. available to decorate the hangers.

It might be a bit expensive, but how about painting flowerpots/champagne flutes/candle holders?
Or get some wire, and make cool wire things, animals, names, whatever. Any hardware store will have some flexible copper stuff, and you can get cool colours at craft stores too.

or origami!

I like the painting flowerpots idea. We do it every other year or so as a big/little activity--the flowerpots are relatively inexpensive (think 50-75 cents apiece from WalMart) and you can use regular paint to do those.

On that same note, what about one of those pottery design studios? You can paint what you'd like, and they'll fire and glaze it for you. A good way to make a day out of something--lunch, followed by the pottery thing. It may be a tad expensive, espech for a large chapter.

What about a picnic on the main quad? That would be a way not only to advertise, but to get away from the house (and have lunch!) for an hour.

Thumbs up

I really like the flowerpots idea!! My mom is obsessed with making things out of them, and I can get some ideas from her! Thanks for everyone's help! I really appreciate it! :-)
