OK.. this is completely random.. but with all this West-Nile stuff going around this summer.. I can't help but ask... What exactly are "flu-like symptoms"?!

I'm pulling this out of you-know-where, but I always assumed "flu-like symptoms to mean:
  • muscle ache/pain
  • nausea
  • fever
  • weakness

etc.

Or at least, that's how I feel when I have the flu...

Ginger, right on target!!

Common features of flu can include general symptoms such as aching muscles and joints, a sore throat, a blocked or runny nose, and severe tiredness. These symptoms are accompanied by a fever, with a temperature as high as 100ºF up to 103ºF, sometimes higher in children.

West Nile Virus is only deadly to you if you have the immune system of a bird. Drink orange juice and you'll be alright.

I really wish the news stations would pick another topic to scare people with... There are so much better things to live in fear of.. Terrorists bringing nukes and chemical weapons to the US... War with Iraq or Pauley Shore making a comeback..

LOL

With the West Nile, they also head ache, neck ache and they say that a rash usually appears.
The high temp is a red flag for many things and should always be monitored.
