Cinco De Mayo

Okay, this weekend many all over the country are celebrating May 5th. There are Cinco de Mayo sales in the stores/ coupons in the grocery stores. I guess I know the answer to this question, but I want to see how others feel about this. But, why is it that we don't see Juneteenth sales? We don't see coupons in the paper for "soul food"? (lmao) This morning I made sure I picked up products for making tacos that were on sale.

Don't think it's just hispanic people celebrating, the WASPs are in full effect at Chevy's, Cucos and other restaurants I passed this weekend. I guess they are taking advantage of the discounts/ sales/party atmosphere...

Even during the month of February, I don't recall any Black History sales/coupons.

Why is Cinco de Mayo embraced more?

Let's see what happens next month?

Edit: I don't have a problem with Cinco de Mayo being celebrated.
