Hello Everyone!
While browsing through the message boards i noticed that when non-greeks have questions you tend to give them the best information that you are able to give. I have a question/prediciament for you guys here:
I am an undergraduate student seeking membership to Zeta Phi Beta sorority Inc. I attend a school that does not have greek organizations at all on campus. knowing this, i have still pursued my interest in Zeta. I have met with a Zeta from a chapter that is affliated with my school, we have a great friendship also.
Here is the problem: Since i attend a school without a chapter i am basically left in the dark about a lot of things-such as activities, community services activities, etc. My friend does what she can to let me know and give me information on different activities, but I'm still in the dark. I'm not sure if there will be an interest meeting this upcoming semester and if there is, i would really want to attend it.
There are other chapters in the area that are close to me and I was wondering if seeking membership into those chapters would be acceptable. The current chapter that my friend is in, really is "not sure" what they are going to doin regards to anything. I really want to do this and I'm willing to do whatever it takes-ETHICALLY..
I say that because i have met some of the members of this previous chapter as well as officers and the president of that chapter. I feel as though it would be disrespectful on my part if i were to go to another chapter.
Basically I am really confused. I don't ask my friend too much because she really doesn't know and some things are too sensitive to talk about with me.
I just need to know what would you do, and how would you handle the situation.
