RUSHING AS A SOPHOMORE
Hey!
I'm currently a freshman right now, and going into college I never really had an interest in joining a sorority, mainly because I really didn't know anything about it, and now towards the middle of my second semester I'm starting to think that I want to rush next semester. I just wanted to know if anyone had any advice or any information as for if it's harder to rush as a sophomore, or if there is anything different I need to do.
Thank You so much!!!

Did you do any of that reading or research that was recommended to you in February when you asked about rush? IF you did, that really should have given you the answers to these questions.

I did and I didn't find much of anything, that's why I am asking again.

Depends on where you go to school. Some places, it's the KOD to be anything other than a freshman. Other places, makes no nevermind.
Good luck! and read adpiucf's thread.

It really depends on the school, I think as to whether class year matters or not. Just for an example, at the school I attended (Capital University in Columbus, Ohio...small, private university) class ranking didn't really matter. Our chapter always took a variety of class rankings and we actually typically did better with those rushing as a sophomore as opposed to freshman, whereas another chapter did better with the freshman recruits as opposed to upperclassmen.
I wouldn't let being a sophomore deter you if you're really interested in going through this process. Good luck to you!
