Question Probation?

Do any of your organizations ever have to put sisters/brothers on probation? if so, what do/did they do to deserve probation? what do they do (or not do on probation) and how do they get off of probation?

just wondering
Sandy

Hi Sandy,

Unfortunately, I think all organizations have to put some of their members on probation at some point. The reasons are many, but some of the most common include financial reasons (not paying their dues on time), academic probation (not keeping their GPA above chapter or school requirements), and moral probation (failure to live up to the moral standards set by their organization).

Depending on the severity of the person's actions, probation can last as short as one week or as long as a school year. If the person does not rectify the problem, suspension from the organization is the next step.

Hope this helps!

Yes, if your gpa falls below a 2.0.
