I don't know yet, but I've almost completed my reverse resolution - ending on New Year's Eve - of giving up soda. I don't know if I'll go back to it or not.

I'd like to say stop biting my nails, but that will never happen.

It's a growing list:

--Be more Type A: making plans, sticking to them, organized. These things make me anxious and drive me crazy in other people, but I see how it benefits them.
--Read more: for leisure, anyway. My friends and I have started our book club again, so that should help.
--Manage my energy: this article I read for work was pretty smart abuot managing energy versus time. I hate waking earlier but I could get so much more done if I got to work an hour earlier, actually taking a lunch break away from my desk and actually excersizing (perhaps starting weekly yoga again?)

You'd be surprised I was taking a course and in it a test had been done where people who bite they're nails are more likely to smoke and from that day I stopped! I think smoking is a horrible habit and I've watched both my parents try to quit for years. I wasn't getting into that! lol Silly I know

My biggest goal is to get to bed earlier every night so that I can get up with plenty of time to work out before work. Currently, I get to bed between 11:00 and 11:30 and have a difficult time getting up at 5:30. I would like to cut that to between 10:30 and 11, and ultimately BY 10:30

Only one: to simplify and let go of all the *stuff* that is blocking my energy (literally and figuratively). Check back in a year and see how I did.

Losing a few pounds by working out on a regular basis. I don't need to lose weight, as my weight is healthy, but I feel better when just a few pounds lighter.

Finish graduate school and find a job.

Enjoy life more, relax to enjoy the moments that I'm doing nice things instead of being worried of what I should be doing.

1) I'm going to stop biting my nails too - its a horrible habit and one i've been ashamed of for a while.

2) I'm going to lose a few pounds (well more than a few) before my vacation in May.

3) I'm going to look into adoption (I found out a while ago that kids are not going to happen for DH & I - a little sad - but we know there is a kid out there for us)

Mine is to be able to consistently pass the coast guard rescue diving physical fitness test. I don't want to be a rescue diver, it's just a structured goal to get in good shape all around. It shouldn't be that hard, which is good because I don't have time to get in like life-changing shape lol. I think I want to be able to do that by July 1 and in April I'll start thinking about a goal to meet by the end of the year. Anyways it's this:

• Swim -- 500 yards, non-stop, using side or breast stroke -- 14 minutes
• Rest -- 10 minutes
• Push-ups -- 42 push-ups in 2 minutes
• Rest -- 2 minutes
• Sit-ups -- 50 sit-ups in 2 minutes
• Rest -- 2 minutes
• Pull-Ups -- 6 pull-ups, no time limit. Palms facing away from the body
• Rest -- 10 minutes
• Run -- 1.5 miles 12:45 time limit

I've decided that I'm going to read at least one book for personal enjoyment a month, hopefully 2 books every 6 weeks. I want to be able to enjoy literature again!

1) get back in shape (I had to give up my pilates & zumba classes in light of recent family deaths/surgeries and I gained back the inches I lost. I start back on Monday with three pilates classes per week, a weight workout class for women, yoga, & zumba)

2) declutter my house--over the next three-four months I hope to go room to room, closet to closet and get rid of unnecessary items and stuff that hasnt been used/worn in a year or more.

3) convince the hubby to declutter the garage

4) convince hubby it's a good idea to have a baby. I think I'll have better luck with the garage but I'm going to try anyway!

I've already started on one of my New Year's resolutions, and that's to cut back on the amount of alcohol that I drink. I am trying to move from moderate to light/social alcohol consumption. In the past few weeks, I have lost a bit of weight, my clothes fit better, and I have more energy.

Starting with the new year, I am planning on cooking more often, getting some daily exercise even if it's just a walk to the corner and back, and doing some more knitting and cross-stitch (I have so much yarn that there is a room in my house known as "the yarn room").

1) Stop being such a worrywart.

2) Start up yoga again.

2) De-clutter the house. Now that the girls are adults/in college, I really have to let go of some stuff.

3) Realize and appreciate that said daughters are adults.
