way-ta be a team player on this one, annabella. your input on this one really added value to this whole situation. unsuck-it is just the kind of solutioneering website i like to see integrated into this convo. this is why the big guys upstairs see you as an upwardly mobile juggernaut.

I hate it when someone wants to "solution" a problem .. find a solution for a problem, ok or solve a problem, but solution is NOT a verb.

Ugh. That's terrible.
But now I want to tell someone on my team to "solute" something.

What the hell else would it be???
A guy I work with loves to say "Check it out and make sure that everything is copacetic." Stop trying to sound intelligent. On top of that he says it "copastetic" which is just wrong!

The VP of my department says that constantly. It makes me want to leap over my cube wall and tear the walls down running around screaming about how stupid it is.
I've started responding "Yes, everything is FINE."

Agree, 100% with this one!
Our buzz word lately is "employee engagement" and we take an annual "engagement survey". One of the questions is "I have a best friend at work" and we all complained about that question last time but it still appears. We are told to interpret as "I have people who support me and who I enjoy spending time with at work" but if that's what they want to know, then that's what the question should say.
What we all really want are raises for the first time in three years, our retirement matching back and the days off they took away back. That's it. We're all fine other than those things. Of course, they don't ask about that stuff!
Oh, and we have huddles now.
