Who Should be Next!?!?
Last night was the 7th Walk of Fame. Previously they have honored
Michael Jackson
Whitney Houston
Luther Vandross
Diana Ross and 2 others
They mentioned that Stevie might be next.
WHO DO YOU THINK deserves to be next for the Walk of Fame?

BoyzIIMen and Babyface are the 2 you are missing.
I think Stevie would be a good choice being next. I think that Patti should have been before BoyzIIMen, Whitney Houston, and BabyFace...just my opinion.

Thanks and that just goes to show how LOOOOOOONG OVERDUE her props were. How are you going to honor new jacks before you honor Chitlin Circuit Veterans?
Hell honor the 5 Heartbeats first!
I vote for Shirley Caesar or the O'Jays.

I totally agree. I think that Aretha Franklin would be a great choice for next year or maybe Tina Turner.

I was thinking the O'Jays when Gerald was doing his thing, and especially since the O'Jay are my favorite group of all time.

I take it they're only honoring living artists. In that case, I would have to agree with Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, the O'Jays, et al.
If they're looking at artists from different genres, how about Wynton Marsalis?

Dead or Alive
I don't know about BET and 'em but here on GC if you want a DEAD PERSON to be on the WALK of FAME posthumously, you go right ahead.
From all genres: R&B, RAP, JAZZ, GOSPEL, Country -- all of the genres.

My picks are....
Curtis Mayfield
Teddy Pendergrass
Barry White
Sir Issac Hayes
The Tempations
I also agree w/Aretha, Tina & Shirley.
As long as it's an entertainer(s) who has showed longevity or has made some sort of impact on music. Not just the top-record sellers.

Gerald is the Son of Eddie Levert (founding member of the O'jays), but not a member of the O'Jays, he had his own group Levert.

No I meant when Gerald was doing his thing, it just made me think of the O'Jays, not that he is in the group the O'Jays. Sorry for any confusion.
