Rushing Again?
I have a question regarding going through rush again at a major SEC school. I went through Fall recruitment and pledged at a sorority, but for disclosed reasons, I de-pledged before initiation.
With that being said, would I be allowed to go through Fall Recruitment again as a sophomore? Is it advisable to go through Rush at a major SEC school again? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

You're certainly ALLOWED to do whatever you wish.
However, depending on the school, you are less likely to get a bid as an upperclassman student and as a 2nd time rusher.
Depending on the school, it's not impossible, but the advantage is typically with the first-time freshman.
I suggest doing a search on this site for your school and reading up on it.
Best of luck to you with whatever you decide.

if you depledged before initiation, then yes you can re-rush in the fall. Whether you'll get a bid or not is another question.

So what was the reason? Or do you mean non-disclosed?

Whoops! Sorry, I mean non-disclosed
Thanks so much for the advice. I do have a couple more questions though...
If I signed the "pledge/bid" card let's say on September 10th, will I be able to rush again as a sophomore if rush begins on say September 5th?
Also, is there a rule binding me to a calender year from the day I de-pledged?

Yes. Basically the calendar year means that you would be ineligible to go through recruitment/accept another bid until formal recruitment the next year.

This one I am not sure about. Sorry. I do not want to give you false information.

No, it only applies to date of pledging.
