The above thread is good. In short, it's not out of the question, but you have to be realistic that you will be automatically cut from some houses, and not let that upset you. Have your recs ready (I'm assuming they're important at such a competitive school), be NICE to EVERYONE and give every house a chance. Happy and nice count for so much more than young girls think. Looks are good, grades are great, but personality is everything.
If you have any good friends who have been through it before, maybe they can explain to you what the conversations are like so you can be ready. It really frustrates some girls that the same questions get repeated over and over again. It's just the way it goes with speed dating, and that's basically what this is. And by the way, this is a good life lesson. This is what job interviewing is like, and a good interviewee goes in anticipating certain questions and has a good answer ready... but that doesn't mean you rehearse a speech. Just think about how you would answer what's your major, what did you do over Christmas break, what do you do for fun. The questions are really benign but if you get caught mouth open, thinking about it, you'll be annoyed afterwards that you weren't ready with something witty.
Good luck!
