Gypsyboots will be late posting her recap - her fiance's grandmother died so Gypsy is out of town and she missed it. I have to say - it lived up to its billing. STUPIDEST MOVE EVER.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT! MORONS!

I'm actually going to miss Courtney. I loved the "it's always been my dream to be in the jury on Survivor so that I can be all hot and those girls can be jealous because they're wearing rags".

You know, in the previews, it shows the Heroes being surprised because Parvarti's still there - and that's how they know something is up. They told Russell to vote for Parvarti, but just because you're a moron and give him the idol, doesn't mean you get control of his vote. WTF? I loved Russell talking about how he doesn't even have to go look for idols anymore - he's so good with the idols that people just HAND them to him.

I've kind of changed my mind about Russell's motives for being so insistent on winning last season. I think maybe he thought at that time that he had BOTH seasons in the bag, and wanted to be the first to win two in a row and be the ULTIMATE-ULTIMATE Survivor.

Did Russell know during the filming of his season that he would be on the next All-Stars?

I meant about him trying to "buy" the title from Natalie. I had previously thought that he had wanted it so bad because he didn't do very well on this season.

One of the best exit-interviews ever. Loved it!

I really can't believe JT just gave the II away like that. I think Candace reacted perfectly, though. (She thought it was a mistake, but recognized that it got the II out of JT's hands, so she went with it.) Part of me felt bad for JT when Parvati and Russell were laughing while reading JT's note, but the villain in me laughed right along with them. I still just can't believe JT gave it away. It's almost like he completely forgot he was on Survivor.

Was Coach wearing a kimono?

Count me in with the people who think JT is an IDIOT. So are the rest of the Heroes for going along with that. Did anyone try to talk him out of it? What part of "they're the villains" did they not understand?

And that letter to Russell . . . seriously?! That was just hysterical.

Where is Shii Ann when you need her? "Stupid people! Stupid People! Let me just say that again. Stupid, stupid players!"

It's worth watching some of the secret scenes at CBS.com.

In one, JT guesses that Parvati might have an idol, but figures that if Russell plays the idol that would flush out Parvati's idol and at least one of the girls would be out. He thinks it would be "even better" if Parvati is still there because that would mean she played an idol and now the girls don't have one.

In another, Russell says the story for the Heroes will be that he and Parvati both played idols. (He doesn't say anything to indicate that he knows she really has one.) Because he suspected Parvati might have an idol, he voted for Courtney, "the second in charge of the girls' alliance." His only concern is that Sandra will say they didn't play any idols, so he's going to plant the "Sandra is a world-class liar" seed as quickly and deeply as possible, and he's going to have his alliance make sure Sandra stays in their sights, espcially if Rupert is around.

Meanwhile, in his blog Jeff says "We told [all the Survivors] at the start of the show that they should read a lot into the fact that while they hadn’t seen Russell play, Russell was selected as one of the 5 most notorious male villains of all time."

I know Jeff sees some gameplay in what JT was trying to do, but the secret scenes just highlight JT's stupidity and delusion.

I was hoping it would be recap week this week, as I will be on the stage of the Belk Theatre, performing Beethoven's 9th Symphony during Survivor this week, but I don't think I'm having any such luck. I may have to stay out of this thread until Saturday morning.

Until then:
Freude, schöner Götterfunken
Tochter aus Elysium,
Wir betreten feuertrunken,
Himmlische, dein Heiligtum!
Deine Zauber binden wieder
Was die Mode streng geteilt;
Alle Menschen werden Brüder,
Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt.

I'm glad JT's stupidity bit him in the ass. Also I think Rupert was smart by showing Russel wasn't to be trusted.

Completely awesome tribal council tonight.

JT's parting interview: "You can't trust women, ever." WTH? It was a man that betrayed him, not a woman. Parvati is a smart player, but she didn't do anything to betray his trust.

Betraying Russell's trust on the other hand...

Wow. What a tribal!
I like JT. I really do. But I think he's where he needs to be. His gameplay is what led him to the jury, so although I'm a fan, well... he's where he needs to be.

This. Tribal Council was awesome, and I can't wait to see next week, where we see the wrath and scrambling of Russell who was "lied to."

Russell is not in a good place now. (How much fun was it to watch him give Parvati his idol?) I can totally see Sandra teaming with the Heroes to get Russell out (and would love for it to work), but the producers have already shown us one preview where things work out as announced ("the dumbest move ever"), so I'm not looking for Russell to go home next week. Maybe he wins immunity?

Meanwhile, I love watching Parvati.

Even if Russell finds himself in the F3 (or is it 2?), I think he's going to have a really hard time winning. He already has 3 people on the jury who probably hate him. I can tell that Coach is just waiting to say something to him, Courtney despises him, and I'm willing to bet JT isn't too fond of him right now.

It would be another one of those situations where he has to hope that people are impressed with his gameplay above everything else. However, I don't see it going that way.

I think the only way he could win is if he finds himself up against Pavarti.
