Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains
And the cast is announced.
Heroes:- Rupert Boneham (Pearl Islands, All-Stars)
- Colby Donaldson (Australia)
- James "J.T." Thomas Jr. (Tocantins)
- Tom Westman (Palau)
- Cirie Fields (Panama, Micronesia)
- Jessica "Sugar" Kiper (Gabon)
- Stephenie LaGrossa (Palau, Guatamala)
- Amanda Kimmel (China, Micronesia)
- Candice Woodcock (Cook Islands)
- James Clement (China, Micronesia)
Villains: - Rob Mariano (Marquesas, All-Stars, plus two Amazing Races)
- "Coach" Ben Wade (Tocantins)
- Jerri Manthey (Australia, All-Stars)
- Parvati Shallow (Cook Islands, Micronesia)
- Sandra Diaz-Twine (Pearl Islands)
- Randy Bailey (Gabon)
- Russell Hantz (Samoa)
- Tyson Apostol (Tocantins)
- Courtney Yates (China)
- Danielle DiLorenzo (Panama)
Why do I feel like they confused "villain" with "extremely annoying" in some cases?
Premiere is Thursday, February 11.

No Johny Fairplay? I forget his actual name, but the guy from Pearl Islands.

After he quit the last All Stars one, they were ticked off at him. He'll never be on Survivor again!

I seem to remember that he pretty much asked his tribe to vote him off because he was miserable. Had a new girlfriend he was missing or something?

I don't remember all of these people, but I probably will once I see them. I'm questioning why no one from the Africa cast was chosen - I seem to recall detesting at least half of the cast that season! Same goes for Amazon.

At this point, I think the Heroes have an advantage with a natural alliance (James, Amanda, Cirie - I think she's smart enough to forgive Amanda for last time) - and last season proved how far a tight alliance (even if it is small) can get you. J.T. seems like he's smart enough to jump on that bandwagon as well - and the small alliance work well for him, too.

I hope he's smart enough to jump on. If I had to pick the player with the biggest target on their back, I'd pick JT. He's a favorite, though, so I hope I'm wrong. But I totally agree: the three Micronesia Heroes + JT = one heckuvan alliance.

I mentioned it at the end of the Samoa thread, but Russell has a HUGE advantage - he's the only one that no one will have heard of, and no one knows his game. He's on the villains team, so I'm sure that will give people a clue. His major danger is that people might vote him out because they know nothing about him.
I also think it would be funny if Amanda made the Final 2/3 again. At least this time she can say "Hey - I made it to the Finals THREE times, what more do you want?" as a jury argument.

Good point, but I'm guessing he didn't make it too far in H vs V. Otherwise, he might not have been quite so petulent about losing to Natalie.

No James. He will always be my favorite Survivor.
I guess I was expecting a different cast. I think this one is a bit disappointing.

^^^I agree. Tyson was much more of a villain than Coach... but really he was just an ass to compliment Coach's delusions. But I think in general they lump the crazies in with the mean ones and call them all villains. And some on this list could really go either way- I didn't think that Sandra or Parvati were all that villainous... I'd say they were just as bad as Cirie, who's a Hero- they would all lie or switch as needed but in general they were personable.
I would vote for Russell as villain over Coach because Russell did whatever he deemed necessary- so while there was a lot of strategy involved, some of what he did (like burning socks or emptying canteens) was just plain mean. Strategic, but mean.

Exactly - Coach sucks as a villain. He was a straining "try hard" with his warrior crap that he kept on spouting off.
There is another person who is missing and it was Rob Cesternino
(not Boston Rob). I think he was on the one that Jenna won, Survivor "Amaz0n". He was good at scheming like Russell - he should have been in there.
Coach and Randy need to just go away.
If you don't remember who Rob Cesternino was, here is a visual aid - http://www.survivorfever.net/s6_contestants.html

Rob would be a good one, and he was funny. And I agree- Africa and Amaz0n were two of my favorite seasons, but I rarely see anyone other than Ethan & Jenna.
Side note, Amaz0n's Jenna was one of the first sorority women I saw on tv after I joined Kappa (2002). I think it was the first NPC I read up on after Pi Phi (Monmouth Duo) that wasn't on my campus. So as silly as it sounds, ZTA has always been a little extra special to me because of her! Go reality tv.
ETA: the way certain website names are auto-linked here is driving me nuts. Especially when I don't mean the Seattle-based online retailer, but a jungle in Brazil. Fun times. And CutiePie, the 0 is better than the space, good call!
