Hi there,

Well guys we are within ten days of “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” opening all over the country. I am so excited and I know that you are too because I can feel the vibe when I come out to take a bow at the end of the show. I’m sure by now that all of you have seen the commercial and advertisements for the movie. I sure hope so anyway. You wanna hear something funny? I was driving down the street and saw a bus with Madea on the side of it and almost had a wreck!

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal last week about me and the movie. It was a good article but in reading it, I got the since that main stream is not expecting much from this movie. That weekend (February 25th, 26th, and 27th) we all have to go to the theatres to see the movie and it is my hope that every showing for Diary of a Mad Black Woman will be sold out. I’ll tell you why…this is Hollywood’s way of judging your success. They will be the ones to report how many people saw the movie the first weekend it hit the public.

So do me a favor. I want the true Tyler Perry folks in there, this first weekend. Before the rest of the world finds out about what we already know, I want you all to fill these theatres so that you can go to the message board and really let me know what you all thought. You know I read it often. Go to the movies with someone, or some group you’re apart of. Trust me when I tell you this movie is for everyone; bring your church group, choir, senior citizen ministries, singles ministries, youth department, your sorority, fraternity, book club and any other group that you can think of. This movie is so important because of its content and its message. The essence of this move is so clean and anointed. When you see it, you will know what I mean. I had to fight really hard to get this movie made, as well as hire the people that I wanted in the movie. Hollywood’s system is to take your vision and change it into what they want it to be. I stood my ground because of all of you. You have invested in me from day one and I refuse to let you down. So this Movie was done with the vision that was given to me, uncompromised. Let me say thank you for allowing me to be able to do that.

Shemar, Kimberly and I taped the Oprah show on Tuesday morning and the experience was amazing. Oprah really loved the movie and she really blew it out of the water. She was so cool. So don’t forget to tune in to the Oprah Show on March 4th.

I want to say special thanks to all of the people who have been showing up for this screening around the country. Madea: A plum FOOL! LMAO!

The ending was abrupt IMO. We predicted what would happen long b4 it did.

What will be Madea's next "adventure"? I think it could be time to "retire" Madea. The play was funny, but it seemed like the "down memory lane of songs" was a time filler.

Catch Tyler on Oprah March 4th. He said they (DOAMBW cast) will have the entire hour.

Yeah the plays have become predictable. I knew something wasn't right with Sonny, Nate and Vanessa, but maybe he can do less Madea and more with other folks, i.e. the Browns and the neighbor lady. I would love to see Sonny again though.

Tyler Perry is doing it, I just hope that they won't try to jerk him. His house is amazing. Bless that man, he deserves it all.

I hope HE won't be his own enemy. He disses where he is from and everything about the NO. If it wasn't for your trials and battles at home, he wouldn't be where he is today. He needs to remember some of the "morals to his stories".

If your takling about what I think you are talking about, then I have. I saw in on TBN a week or so before Christmas. It was pretty good, considering the fact that it was on the "Church Channel" and Madea had to tone it down a bit...ok, tone it down a lot!!

I see you all are hitting the message board about me coming to your area. We have one more year on this tour and we're adding a lot of new cities. So get ready to bail Madea out of jail in your town!

As you know Diary of a Mad Black Woman is out on video tomorrow. I hope you are excited to get it. You can buy your copy just about everywhere; Wal-Mart, Target, Blockbuster, Best Buy.you name it. So go out and get it
and see all of the added footage and the behind the scenes antics. I know you will enjoy it.

Let's make this DVD the #1 movie sold this week. Let's show them that we want more movies like this and as you all know the only color that Hollywood respects is green. So go out and get the DVD for yourself or for someone
that is going through. What an effective tool to give to someone that you don't quite know how to tell they need to get out of a bad situation.

Oh by the way, one of the producers of the Oprah show told me that the ratings were so high the day we were on that they will rerun the show. So if you missed it the first time, it airs again June 29th.

(laughing out loud)". That was Madea talking. On the other hand, I did get all the e-mails about me and Tyra Banks.

I'm leaving the country for a week on vacation so pray for me as I try to get a little rest before I start shooting Madea's Family Reunion on July 11th. Oh and don't think I'm being selfish because not only am I going on vacation, I am sending my cast and crew and their families on an all expense paid vacation to a destination of their choice because they all worked so hard the past six months. So whisper a prayer for them if you don't mind. It's time to rest and restore, but we will be back soon.
