FYI, Phi Mu's new website is up... and if you really want to hurl, read this article. It's the one I got to read before it was published. I'm not sure if it's still full of one-word "sentences," but it certainly was just a week ago. And we're supposed to be recruiting intelligent women? Good luck!

I get that they're probably trying to target the HS-aged crowd, but BFF? Friending? Really?

Just reading it sounds ridiculous. Sounds like what my mom sounds like when attempting to sound "cool" to my HS brother and his friends.

LOL. I would have never noticed this plague if you didn't point it out. A friend who is a graphic designer said that there is an "international corporate symbol" including an oval with a swirl, and now that he pointed it out, damned if I don't see it everywhere.

Yeah, that is definitely a 45-50 year old trying way too freaking hard. I thought our copy was a teensy bit dry, but at least they use a subject and a verb. I need to go find the corporatespeak thread.

I can't help but wonder if they got rid of the Imagine. Believe. Achieve. because it was too similar to mottos/taglines that other groups were already using.

Imagine.Believe.Achieve. was not new, I know it has been around since at least 2004/5. I can not speak for whom had what first, but evey tag line is similar in the fact that it should be brief and so many end up sound "familiar".

Aspire, Seek, Attain has been around since 1901. That makes Imagine.Believe.Achieve. still in diapers. Try again.

You need not take such an offensive and/or defensive stance. Note the fact that I cleary stated I did not know whom had what first, which was with regard to all organizations. I merely meant that as a "tagline" for advertisement and branding purposes it was not new. I did NOT have the intention nor did I at any time single out your org. as you did with mine to begin with.

I only responded because your original statement was negatively phrased in the first place. It is of no real significance to me as in the case of my org. is is branding and obviously yours is more like an open meaning of your letters. Two different things.
