Tom,

12 years ago from the date of your post (7-15) i lost my best friend my dad. I totally understand the loss you must be feeling right now. I won't even get into the 'it will get better with time' because right now it is to new to process that. We all at GC hold you and your family in prayer. My condolences to you.

Thank You Everyone.

Dad Was Buried today Next To Mom 7 Years after She Passed.

Thank goodness Bookem as some have heard me speak of Him, My Best friend was able to get off duty to go to the funeral with Me, thank God He did. Had a deluge going down and I was so in Hopes that The Sun would would shine on Dad. It did.

Was very Hot and Muggy as us in Kansas/Missouri call it.

I was amazed how many people were at the cemetary for the service as Dad was 87 Years young so to speak.

As I placed on the LXA Thread, the feeling Mom and Dad had when I started BX Local, they were always proud and became exaficio Parents for the Guys. They new many of the Brothers and were always down for Home Coming to see the guys.

As I said, thanks to Bookem for being there for this time when I was in need. I was fine until I got home and carried the Folded Flag that was given to Me as Dad was a Vet in WW II.

I know this is long and drawn out, but I was at a lose. Bookem has called Me 3 times to check in on Me.

As many of You have said, it is very hard to lose a parent then both. They that Bore you nutured and guided you to where You are in life today.

Thank You, Each and Everyone of You who Posted here giving one of Us GCers Your Condolences.

You are Very Special People!

Dad is With Mom, and that is what is important!

Tom, we have the flag from my daddy's coffin, too. It is precious to us, especially since his service to his country was so precious to him. In the days to come, that bit of cloth will turn from a symbol of grief to something very cherished.

I'm so glad that the sun shone on your father's day of rest! I, too, am glad that your parents are together again - what joy they must be feeling!

Tom,

I prayed for you and your family yesterday. It's a cliche', but time really does heal all sorrows. You're going to be OK
