A Sad Point in My Life
 

I have not told anyone on GC except two people.

My Father Suddenly passed Wed.

I have been in a funk since then.

He lived for 87 + years mostly full of life except for the last Seven when My Mother passed away.

I am not sure what to do as it is hard anytime one loses someone so close.

I just really needed to pass this on to some of what I consider Friends.

Tom, please accept my sympathy on the loss of your father. I don't care how old someone is, the loss of a parent is a stunning blow. Please take care of yourself, and remember that YOU count, amidst the trappings of the funeral. (((((((Tom))))))))

Hope you can get through this alright - I was in a stupor for weeks when my own daddy died. God bless you!!

I am so very sorry to hear of your father's death. I will pray for him and for you that he have the fullness of light and joy in the life to come and that you have comfort in the knowledge that he is with his beloved wife your Mother in the presense of our Father in heaven.
With your permission I will ask my Anglican priest friend to offer a sung Eucharist for him and my Jesuit friend to offer his Mass this Sunday for him.
"Eternal joy and fulfillment grant unto him O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul with the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace, amen."

Tom i am so sorry for your loss. My beloved grandmother passed suddenly 3 weeks ago from a brain bleed stroke and my mother says( she is the only child) you get thru it moment by moment hr by hr and little bit it gets easier My thoughts and prayers ar e with you
