I heard about a craving for bacon, and better ways to achieve heart attack status. So I had to post this masterpiece, aka "Bacon Explosion." I'm not sure there are many better ways to have a heart attack induced than by eating this.
Step1: Bacon Basket Weaving.
Step 2: Add a rub to the bacon, add cooked spicey Italian Sausage.
Step 3: Add BBQ sauce (I'm partial to Sweet Baby Rays), brown sugar, and cooked crumbled bacon (not pictured).
Step 4: Mold into a meatloaf shape.
Step 5: Roll it up!
Step 6: Slather that beauty with more BBQ.
Step 7: Cook it until the bacon is cracklin!

(I should note that I think this Bacon Explosion is being smoked over hickory chips, but i've seen it done on a regular gas grill before too)
Step 8: Eat, enjoy, and don't die from a heart attack if you can help it.

there isn't any in my state, i only get it when i go to nyc. one's opening in the fall. i'm soo excited.
ever since i had chipotle, i couldn't eat taco bell anymore. i can get burritos from local places that are pretty good, but its not the same as chipotle.
(i'm not addicted, what makes you say that? )

I really don't know if I could survive.
Chipotle is less than 10 minutes from my apt.

I was mighty happy to find a Chipotle so close to my house. I didn't know there were any in my city until I happened to drive past one.
Irish.....ew. That is all.

LOL. There's nothing sad about that. LOL. It's all about how you put it together and all things in moderation.

Haha, that's true.
I doubt that I'll ever find myself making a bacon roll. Ever.

We use turkey bacon instead of pork bacon and it's pretty good but doesn't get as crispy. I wonder what the end result of making that roll in turkey bacon would be.

Yea, I use turkey bacon also. I bake it a little longer, though, so it still gets crispy.
And the end result would be a double bypass as opposed to a triple.

I think I would try the Double Down, but without that orange sauce, and maybe without the extra cheese. I'd definitely keep the bacon though...
Speaking of bacon, k_s, I can't believe you posted that. I'm going to have to hide that recipe from s/o. He'd be all about the bacon wrapped meatloaf.
And I can't blame him.
