KFC Double Down?
http://www.kfc.com/doubledown/images/doubledown.jpg
The new KFC Double Down sandwich is real! This one-of-a-kind sandwich features two thick and juicy boneless white meat chicken filets (Original RecipeŽ or Grilled), two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of Monterey Jack and pepper jack cheese and Colonel's Sauce. This product is so meaty, there’s no room for a bun! --kfc.com 540 calories, 32 grams of fat, 1380 mg of sodium Has anyone tried this? |
I think I'd be allergic to it but it looks good. It looks really good, actually. That's a great idea, too.

I pretty much only eat protein but I have to say, this looks totally disgusting to me.

It's just their chicken fillet from their sandwiches. We tried that "fillet snacker" and it was gross. Looks more appetizing than it actually is. We regretted it immediately and again a few hours later...
I used to LOVE KFC years and years ago. No more. |
I really loved KFC until they stopped using transfat. Now it always has a bitter taste to it. I bought a bucket yesterday to eat for lunches all week this week and it's nasty. I know it's healthier, but if it's not edible, it doesn't make much difference.

I'm originally from W.Va by way of - never mind. Point is, grease and I are good friends. We considered it a side dish. I particularly like it when it covers fried chicken and bacon. Still, this makes me want to vomit (a rarity for me when food is involved - I happily eat anything). Their last two additions were equally bad - pressed chicken breast with fake grill marks (yuck) and that disgusting layered mashed potato, chicken, gravy, corn disaster. Whoever they have in their creative kitchen should be shot by Paula Dean.

It's basically a chicken cordon bleu that's been fast-food-ized. Also, adding bacon. I don't want to eat it, but it's not really the end of the food world.

Looking at that makes me very happy I made the decision not to eat meat anymore.:)
So gross. |

many have tried, few have lived to tell about it.

I keep thinking that they are trying to cater to those of us who are limiting our carb intake and order things like a cheeseburger without a bun. However, KFC doesn't need to cater to us because it (and Boston Market) were already top on my list of places I can get no carb meals because you can get "just chicken".
