I know American parents who didn't circumcise their babies because they wanted them to make the decision themselves as grown men. Fast forward 20 or so years and the young men supposedly became more knowledgable about the cons of not being circumcised and underwent the PAINFUL circumcision of a grown man's penis. They probably cussed their parents out for that. LOL.

New Atheist Billboard Up in New Jersey

I never understood why Atheists have to "proselytize". They might as well be considered an actual religion.

This one probably won't make the national news, although the sheer stupidity of it might make it newsworthy.

At California University of Pennsylvania, two students called the police because they were the victims of a home invasion. The police came and asked the students what was missing. Their pot had been stolen. No arrests yet, but the "victims" are being asked to come to the police station for some further questioning.

Woman Wears Bikini Through LAX Airport Security

My only thought is that, for most women, wearing a bikini ANYWHERE could be considered an act of terrorism!

That reminds me of something similar in my home town a few years back. A guy called in a maintenance call for his apartment. The ceiling was falling in because he had converted it into a grow house, with lights and everything. The super showed up, saw the pot and called the cops.

I heard a news story last week about a man who called the police to report that the prostitute he hired had stolen his wallet. The man WAS arrested and charged for solicitation of a prostitute.

Another NYC store infestation.

http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/12/01/new...ex.html?hpt=T2

". . . clothing retailer Juicy Couture shut the doors of its Fifth Avenue store in Manhattan, New York, after employees discovered bedbugs there.

The 15,000-square-foot clothing store closed Tuesday but is expected to reopen Friday, after an exterminating company removes and treats all of its merchandise . . . ."

I think the funniest part of this story is this:

"Last month, lawmakers and industry leaders met in Washington to discuss the outbreak at the Congressional Bedbug Forum..."

THERE IS A CONGRESSIONAL BEDBUG FORUM??? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

The whole bedbug thing has me so freaked out that I can't even read stories about it anymore. I have to NOT think about it because when I do, I am on the verge of being too freaked out to stay in a hotel or buy new stuff.. or go to the movies, or shop, or.. ack! Cannot. Deal. With. The. Idea.

Friends of my brother stayed at a Wyndam, and brought home bedbugs. The last time I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond, I bought the killing spray, to go along with the UV sanitizer I usually take. Bedbugs are the last souveniers I want to bring home!

FWIW, my brother said that his friend told him that they usually travel in straight lines and can be found in mattress seams. Also, if there are little red dots on the sheets, that's a sign of infestation. (But wouldn't they wash the sheets?) The only way to really kill them can be to turn the heat to some impossibly hot setting, then sweep them out. blech.
