COEUR D'ALENE -- A Coeur d'Alene woman says she is embarassed by a police report recently filed by her mother-in-law, in which a sex game beween her and her husband was investigated by officers.

The woman, who did not want to be identified, told KREM 2 News she and her husband are newly married, and recently moved into his parents' Coeur d'Alene home.

According to the police report, on Wednesday evening, the woman's mother-in-law heard "slapping" sounds coming from the couple's bedroom, and the garage.

After leaving the garage, the mother-in-law told police her daughter-in-law "hung her head and appeared to be sad and ashamed," while her son refused to say what the couple was doing.

Officers say the woman asked her son again the next morning, and he replied that he was spanking his wife, something he does "when she needs to be punished" or "when she gets out of line or lacks respect."

Worried about physical abuse, the woman called Coeur d'Alene Police. Officers told the woman to contact them again if a similar situation occurs again.
