My boyfriend and I are smokers and we are NOT your typical smokers. Most people are completely surprised when they find out that we smoke. We live normal lives - we work 8+ hours a day, 5+ days a week - I have a college degree, we have nice cars, we rent an apartment (granted it's in the ghetto, but that's a entire different story...only had 48 hours to move and well let's just say we were very decieved by this place), and we function as normal everyday people. There's nothing different about me and my life than there is about my friends that don't smoke - which there are only a few. We're not big drinkers (anymore) so this has taken it's place.

So for me, I would prefer someone who smoked and/or was open minded to the fact that I do.

Rudey inadvertantly brought up a good point- doesn't it somewhat depend on your exposure to drugs in the first place? Coke, XTC, and weed were SO prevalent among high schoolers in my area... I don't even bat an eye when I see it anymore. And in hs, everyone, from the kids in band to the cheerleaders to the goths, everyone smoked pot.
Maybe that's why I know it's possible to use it recreationally w/out it destroying your life...and I also know what to look for in a person, if they have a personality that would lend itself to substance abuse.

to all the haters: dont mess up the rotation...if you know its being done somewhere and you have a problem with it...do NOT go there...i mean come on...youre going to be upset cause i'm high and i'm going to be upset cause i dont want you messin with my high.

my boyfriend did his fair share in high school. now he's a cop. go figure. he doesnt like that i do it. really really doesnt want me doing it. but doesnt spaz out about it.

i really hate the mandatory drug tests though. those kind of suck. especially when you just never know when its coming. then you dont have time to flush out the system. havent been caught yet. guess thats why i quit.

i've only smoked once or twice since april though. out of respect for my boyfriend and of course for the job. nobody wants to get rescued by a pothead and i dont want to have to go to a fire high. fire is dangerous enough.

but i MUST admit...sex while youre high...thats good stuff...actually...i'm being modest about it...its the BEST. NOTHING can explain that...

whats the old saying anyway? man made beer, god made weed...who do you trust? there aint nothin wrong with a little chiefin.

you can eat at any kind of restaurant here. dont be alarmed if they all serve the same thing and are only open 7 days a week and only 24 hours a day. the chef is always high but it doesnt take that much to throw together some doritos, a chocolate milk, and ketchup.

I've heard that smoking pot has damaging effects on men's sperm count...? Anyone else heard this? If it's true, then I'd def. have a problem if my boyfriend smoked cuz it could mess up your future kiddies.

There's less seminal fluid, less sperk overall, many of the sperm swim faster with THC, and some of the problem sperm are allowed out. It's mainly know to affect borderline men.

haha...well my mom is a high school teacher and says that there are more "messed up" kids now (school shootings, etc) She also says that the fastest growing department in schools is special ed. Any correlation (she thinks so...)? Just a thought

I've dated guys and have had friends who dabbled. It doesn't bother me. If it starts to interfere in all aspects of your life, that is a different story. When I was with my ex he told me that if he ever found out I used any kind of illegal substance while with him he would dump me but this had to do with what happened to him in his personal life~~his dad was a major pot smoker and other things which affected the whole family negatively. In a situation like that, if you care about the person, I think that you should respect their wishes or maybe you shouldn't be together. Weed, Coke, X, anything is a mind-altering substance and you don't know how it is going to react with your body chemistry. I've seen more bad stuff happen to people that were drunk though then high so I think alcohol is a more dangerous drug overall.
