ladies please answer...Marijuana? whats so bad?

so in the past I have encountered several women who got disgusted when they found out their SIG OTHER smoked a little reefer every once in a while. I am not saying all women dont like weed. obviously some on here like it...:D

however, there are many girls who just think it is the devil. after having a talk with a girl i am seeing about weed, i found out that she absolutely hates it. i asked her if she has ever tried it. she said, NO AND I NEVER WILL. ouch...gee way to be close minded!

then i was talking to a girl i USE to date last night and she told me she tried weed not once but twice after she started seeing me. and that she actually liked it...:cool: however, while we were seeing each other she said, NO NEVER!!!!

ok anyways, I have no idea why I am rambling on and on. but why do the majority of women hate marijuana so much? Would you rather have a chill boyfriend who smokes weed occassionally? Or a boyfriend who drinks occassionaly and becomes violenty drunk?

I would rather much date a pot smoker (or any variety of illegal-drug taker) than someone who CHEWS. Gross.

Some people have personal reasons for not trying it...it's not close mindedness, necessarily. A lot of people just don't want to smoke anything, be it pot or cigarettes. But they shouldn't freak out about it.

I just think you're hanging out w/ uptight people. I know people who smoke and people who don't, and as long as no one's trying to force their view on others no one really cares.

i could care less what some of my friends did smoke out once in a while, or when they were younger, etc.

But I have never actually smoked anything. I have seen people do crazy isht on pot. To save my sanity, I just kinda watch in amusement. But I know that if I ever were to, I would probably end up eating a whole carton of Ben and Jerry's and then have to explain to my doctor why my blood sugars peaked at 500.

I've had bfs that smoke... some more than others. It bothers me a little because they just got stupid after smoking. But I wouldn't call it grounds to breaking up... unless it was a daily thing.

I would rather be w/ someone who didn't have any sort of substance issues. Use of any substance in excess (or anything illegal) to me shows that someone has unresolved issues and is trying to conceal them. I've always felt that it shows weakness. And it DEFINITELY pisses me off when I confront them with evidence and they STILL lie. (This happened to me once.)

I think weed is fun once in a while. I'd be bothered if someone smoked all the time, but there's nothing wrong with partaking in substances now and then.

There's a big diff between smoking yourself stupid and having a few puffs at the end of the day - the latter's really no different than having a beer when you get home, except it isn't legal. No one's talking about putting up with someone who has a problem with overconsumption of any substance.

Honestly, I *personally* don't want to smoke anything. It's just a personal choice. Do I care if others do? Nah. Not my business, and I'd be a hypocrite if I told people not to smoke weed, because I drink from time to time and that's not the healthiest thing either. WHat's the difference? Not much.

*Although*, I dated one idiot who smoked so much weed that he would do crazy shit, and that freaked me out. But I do know that's not the case all the time either. :)

In summary: I don't do it and don't plan to, but it's cool if others want to.

Heh, since we're talking about weed. I think some people are hilarious when they're high. There's these two guys that lived down the hall from me in the dorm...I don't even know their names, but everyone calls them the "Bueno Boys" because they're ALWAYS high, and when they're high, all they'll do is look at you and scream, "BUENOOOOOOOOOOO!". Funny stuff. :D Or they'll come knock on your door and say weird stuff, like one of them kept coming and asking me, "Look man, I've still got this Windex if you need it. I mean, anytime you want it. It's yours. Cause you're cool like that." And he went on and on about Windex.

And that in my opinion is the problem. Some folks have this weird thing about breaking the law.

I don't think weed is bad.

But of course, you guys already knew that by now.

My boyfriend does it rarely, never really bugs me, as long as he's not paying for it I don't care :p I personally can't stand the stuff, I can't even walk in a room w/just a hint of it in the air. Massive headaches and I get all stinky *ick*

I don't mind being around weed (tho the smell....ick) but I'd rather my SO not smoke any. I'm the same way with cigs too. But I have NO problem with alcohol!! Maybe because alcohol is the only of the 3 that I've tried...

Weed doesn't really bother me - in fact, I'm definitely known to partake from time to time.

But, I have to agree with what others are saying - everything in moderation. If a guy was smoking every day for an extended period of time, I would see it as a problem (just as I would see excessive drinking as alcoholism). So, I don't think girls really have a problem with it in and of itself, but with the abuse of it.

I don't mind as long as it doesn't become an all-the-time thing.
